THE MAN

Vernon L. Mann is a practicing Attorney in New York State. Mr. Mann is the realization of a dream that was rooted in him as an adolescent. Deciding to join the Guardian Angels in 1983 gave Mr. Mann the opening to be more involved in his community.

The ability to interact with people of diverse backgrounds started him on the path of being a better person. After one too many arrests, he began to make a conscious, concerted effort to do better. He initiated trustworthy and positive relationships.

These relationships would go on to inspire his new outlook on life while being incarcerated. Taking up Carpentry, Printing, and General Business classes, Mr. Mann received certification in General Business and Printing while narrowly missing his Certification in Carpentry due to an early release for good behavior.

Through this journey of self-development, motivation, and recognition, Mr. Mann continued his aspirations of overcoming adolescent-wayward behavior. Holding steadfast to the vision of becoming a better person, Mr. Mann is presently a leader unto himself and an asset to his community.

With his criminal record behind him, he has charted a course to his present stance as an exemplary citizen with the intent of inspiring others against youthful insubordinate behaviors. Mr. Mann’s ability to master unfavorable odds has allowed him to command his talents and expertly built skill into a solid career.

Vernon L Mann, Esq. obtained an A.S. in Business Management and a B.S. in Accounting, both gained at City of New York, Medgar Evers College, in 1992 and 1997, respectively. While in pursuit of those studies, he also earned his Certification as an Incubation Specialist.

Mr. Mann acquired his Juris Doctorate in 2003 as a graduate of Cooley Law School located in Lansing, MI. In 2006, he passed the New York State Bar Exam and was later admitted to the New York State Bar.

The lifelong dream of following in the footsteps of Reginald F. Lewis. came in fruition in 2014 when Mr. Mann started his very own law firm, The Law Office of Vernon L. Mann, PLLC. To stay current with technology, he simultaneously earned his MBA in e-Commerce from Keller Graduate School of Management, NYC.

As an act of gratitude to the community that helped raise him, Brownsville, Brooklyn, in 2015 Mr. Mann founded a non-for-profit organization. How Everybody Lives Prosperously, Especially The Children (H.E.L.P. E.T.C.) is geared at helping the youth, in particular, to overcome their challenges and achieve their dreams.

A favorable accomplishment that Mr. Mann received was his Les Brown Certification as a Motivational Speaker in 2016. In that same year, Mr. Mann also became an Ordained Minister. Mr. Mann balances his time by spending it with his daughter, Imani, born in 2015.
